Marlene leads The Marlene Jazz Ensemble on vocals and piano-- a veteran musician who has performed for various audiences in the U.S. and abroad including Philippines’ former Presidents, Fidel Ramos  and Cory Aquino, and Princess Chulabhorn of Thailand.

Members of The Marlene Jazz Ensemble have performed extensively throughout Europe and the United States with musicians, Ella Fitzgerald, McCoy Tyner, Gerri Bergonzi and Herb Pomeroy. Marlene has trained with luminaries such as Cheryl Bentyn (Manhattan Transfer), Laszlo Gardony (Billboard’s Jazz Top 10 artist) and Bob Gullotti (Fringe).

In  addition  to  corporate and  private events,  The Marlene Jazz Ensemble  regularly  performs  at  the Piers Park Concert Series  and has performed in events and  venues that include The Boston Arts Festival, First Night Worcester, Downtown Crossing's Jazz in July series, the Acton Jazz Cafe, Ryles and the Beehive. Marlene opened for Cuban pianist, Omar Sosa, at the 2008 Philippine International Jazz Festival and appeared in concerts and tv interviews in Peru. She has recently performed for Massachusetts governor, Deval Patrick as well as Mayor Menino and local senators. Her band was also featured in Boston's Latin-American tv program, Fernando's Hideaway, and she was interviewed by "Jazz Gallery's" Al Davis, in Boston WGBH 89.7. Her second CD, Marlene LIVE With a Little Help From Her Friends currently enjoys national and Canadian airplay and has received outstanding reviews from jazz critics.

The Marlene Jazz Ensemble performs all over New England both as an instrumental and with-vocals ensemble. Marlene is also available as a soloist.
